about

HERE'S JERRY AGAIN is a very special album. Jerry was in his prime when this LP was first released in '65 and is noticeably more listenable than his weird 50's hair metal phase. Anyway, this album was number 2 on the chart back in his day and lot's of work went into it, and also featured now forgotten members of his band back in that day. Here are the liner notes so you can get to know this beautiful record so much better. In the words of the inmortal Jerry:

1.Caught My Dog Makin' Out With A Toucan
Man this track is just sick and I liked it and put it first on the CD because i thought it set the mood nice and good and if you wanted to make out with the brains out of somebody than this would be the track for you. I also learned that McGruffins could play the sitar and utilized this here. Take that, Eagles.

2. Burial At Sea for Al Gore :)
McGruf definitely laid down some totally sick stuff for this track, and I just instantly started shredding over it. My pal, Mao totally added some intensity and passion with his Alaskan style synth riffs he wrote that I told him to write. Also you notice that I was the original writer of Seven Nation Armer and that Mack White totally ripped this song off. of And of course the end of the song features the illustrious soul of my favorite synth trumpet player from this era, Big Sauce. and i also made him play some up rite bass here.

P.S. I dated Al Gore's mom and when he was born in '48 I told him, rookie, get your crap together because I'm the man your mom loves and i hope your berryied at sea some day

3. Spider With Five Legs
This song was inspired by the 1800's and disease and famine. I regret having to require my brother who is stupid, Gerald's, services on guitar, so I made his parts quieter, because he literally sucks. and Fat Don does some sick organ stuff, he's a tankard.

4. Fell In Love But Then My Heart Got Twisty-Tied
Gosh dag, gad dagit, my heart got sliced open totally by this girl while I was on tour and she made me so flipping sad i wrote her this hoppy song about how ephed up i was after she broke my heart. same good old line up, but still Gerald sucking on the stupid parts.

5. Crunk Blues 8
THis is a wonderful take on my most classic composition. Seriously if you wouldn't get down to that groove laid down by Fat Don and McGruffins, than you aren't a soul. You'll hear my licks and shreds are still cooler than Gerald's even on this track.

6. Jerry Sensually Plays Every Note On His Guitar
Ahh this is an etude I wrote that I would use to help to teach my studets, but the toughness and technique was so hard i thought it'd be a great track to record for this album session.

7. A Really Conceited Guy Likes The Way He Looks From The Side and Wants You To Know
So in '63 I got a hankering to do some hip trop material but, since i don't sing, i called in the classic hip hop group from Idaho, the Lake Superior Boys and Girl and they nailed this track down like a yuletide. and i have no idea what a "profile " is.

8. Gettin' Down W/ That Produce Shiz
OK, Ok, fine i admit Gerald helped me co-write this and it was a dark time were we going through? Our van had just been stolen by this man who was a fan of ours and we were stuck in some Eurasian country called Istan, and mid recording of this song Me, Jerry, Gerald, McGruf, Fat Don, Big Sauce, we all got caught in this disco and it was really freaky.

9. The Star Spangled Banner (Live at Crunkstock '68)
[This is a bonus track added for the remastered version, and therefore Jerry has no notes on this song. This was however from his legendary genre defying performance at Crunkstock '68. Jimi Hendrix later parodied Jerry's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock the next year.
