about

This never before heard bootleg has been remastered to infect your ears with the draconian sonority of Jerry's tempestuous guitar licks. Ask any Jerry fan, and they'll tell you, February 29, 1968 in a crematorium in Cairo, Illinois, the world changed. Jerry, Gerald, and McGruffins took the Midwest by storm with a cacophonous set of thrilling music, weather it be Jerry's death defying pentatonic licks, Gerald's crunkadelic bass etudes, or McGruffins acid flashback straight 8th swing feels, the people at the concert witnessed true Shred. The urns were a rattlin', and the oven was turned off, and Jerry was on something or other. Another historic event was the debut of three new Crunk Blues tracks, a staple of Jerry's. By the end of Crunk Blues 6, the band went back stage and ate several bushels of batteries for the battery acid effect, but the crowd was too rowdy. As several urns crashed to the ground, McGruffins suggest they play one more song to appease the crowd. However it is noted that the band was way to out of it by this point do to the amount of batteries that had been ingested by the band. Their last song of the night was definitely one to remember. The band jammed on for about 14 minutes, forgetting about time and space. Eventually they fell to the stage and were carried off by paramedics. The intensity of this concert caused the band to postpone their tour of the midwest, and they didn't play a show again until October 6th that year, when they played in Sumqayit, Azerbaijan.

The total attendance of this show was estimated to be upwards of 112,000
