Only reason the last track is my favorite is, it fades out nicely. Hear the whole thing for full effect! Favorite track: since when did jerry start writing in third person?.

about

Jerry Haunts The Pentagon is the fifth studio album by the Starving Cartoon, Jerry, released in March 1963. It built on ideas explored in Jerry's earlier recordings and live shows, but lacks the extended instrumental excursions that characterized his work following the departure in 1957 of Jerry's Brother, backup musician, Gerald. Gerald failed to launch a solo career and crawled back to Jerry and begged for his position as back up rhythm guitarist soon after this album reached #1 on the charts. Jerry Haunts The Pentagon's themes include conflict, greed, the passage of time, and mental illness, the latter partly inspired by Jerry's deteriorating mental state.
The album was written and recorded during a period of turmoil for Jerry, after visiting the Ketchikan in Alaska and having a particularly productive songwriting session in early 1958. Returning to the studio, Jerry recorded from May to October 1959, only to have conflict and dissent drive the other members of Jerry's band apart. McGruffins the Junkyard Dog quit the band for a brief time, leaving Jerry to play drums on two tracks.
Jerry Haunts The Pentagon was certified 8x Platinum by the RIAA on October 7, 1963, making it one of the top 200 best-selling albums of all time in the US. In the US, Jerry Haunts The Pentagons had sold 7,582,000 copies as of March 2012. In Canada Jerry Haunts The Pentagon was certified 7x Platinum by the CRIA in March 2010.

Seven singles were released from the album. The album re-entered the Finland Albums Chart 5 years after its release, setting also a new peak position, at #21.
